Sholom Rubashkin

Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin is an American businessman who formerly held a key executive position at Agriprocessors, a kosher slaughterhouse and meat packing plant located in Postville, Iowa. The company, previously owned by his father Aaron Rubashkin, experienced significant growth under his leadership, emerging as one of the largest producers of kosher meat in the United States.

However, during his tenure as CEO, Agriprocessors faced numerous challenges and controversies. The company was cited for various issues, including animal cruelty, food safety concerns, environmental safety violations, child labor practices, and the hiring of undocumented immigrants. Rubashkin's career was ultimately marked by a conviction for fraud, and Agriprocessors subsequently filed for bankruptcy.
