Sergey Izgiyayev

Sergey Izgiyayev was a Soviet literary figure, active in the field of literature from 1922 until his death in 1972. Born into a family of Mountain Jew descent, he went on to pursue a career in writing and translation. As a member of the prestigious Soviet Union of Writers, Izgiyayev established himself as a prolific author, penning numerous works across various genres.

Izgiyayev's literary output includes nine books of poetry, showcasing his skill with the written word, as well as five plays that demonstrate his ability to craft compelling narratives for the stage. In addition to his work as a writer, he was also a talented translator and songwriter, creating lyrics for over thirty songs. This diverse range of creative endeavors underscores Izgiyayev's significant contribution to Soviet literature and culture during his lifetime.
