Uri Avnery

Uri Avnery was a prominent Israeli figure, active in the fields of politics, journalism, and literature. Born in 1923, he led a long and varied career, marked by his involvement in key events and organizations. As a young man, Avnery was a member of the Irgun and later fought in the 1948 Palestine war.
